Public holidays in Norway in May and why we love it

When is the best time to visit Norway? A follower asked me in January. Not in January, I thought of answering. Then I gave it a thought and said. If I have to pick a month, it would be definetely May.

Days are brighter and longer. Flowers are blooming everywhere. Big azaleas fill my days with enchantment.

What to say about Constitution Day? It’s simply the most loving and celebrating Day of the year. It’s so impressive how Norwegians celebrate. I’m glad I’ve become part of it. I’ll write a post soon only about this day. Sign up for my newsletter so that you get also backstage information.

Today is May 1st. It’s Labour Day and yet I’m sitting here, working. Though it’s gonna be a very short working day for me. I’m a nice boss. Anyways, check out the list to make sure you don’t run out of food and show up at a closed supermarket.

King Haakon, Crown Princess Märtha and the children returned on 7 June, five years to the day that the King and Crown Prince had been forced to leave the country.
