What: It’s a famous jazz festival that happens every year, in May. Several jazz concerts take place in different venues downtown in Stavanger. The bands come from Norway and other places in the world. Luckily, in 2022, as coronavirus anti infection restrictions are over, the festival is at its full.
When: from May 7th to 15th.
How: Tickets can be bought here. Entrance only for adults above the age of 18. Prices may vary from 170 to 350NOK. There’s a free concert on Thursday and Saturday.
The diversity of bands is amazing. From pure jazz to salsa, classical music, even Beatles. MaiJazz is a must.
Where: Stavanger Konserthus, Stavangeren, Spor 5, Obrestad Fyr, Folken, Stavanger Katedralskole, Arneagaren, St. Petri Kirke.
